Memory Game
By Lucille Corbo

Sharpen your students memory skills with this game made with plastic milk- or water-jug lids.

Printer-friendly version

caps and numbers
What you need:

  • twenty plastic milk- or water-jug lids

  • permanent marker

How to make it:

  1. Save twenty plastic lids from milk or water jugs. Separate the lids into two groups of ten.
  2. With a permanent marker, write the numbers from 1 through 10 on the tops of the lids in both groups. Let the numbers dry.
  3. Mix up all the lids, then turn them over so you can’t see the numbers. Put them in rows, if you wish.
  4. To play, turn over two of the lids. If the numbers match, remove them from the group. If the numbers do not match, turn them back over and leave them where they were. Try to remember which numbers are on the upside-down lids.
  5. Repeat until you find all ten pairs of numbers. To play with a friend, take turns flipping the lids. Whoever has the most pairs at the end wins.
