Paper-Plate Mitt
by Jolyn Taylor
A quick and easy craft project to make in class or as a take home assignment.
What you need:
- stapler
- two paper plates
- glue
- paper bowl
- paint
- aluminum foil
How to make it:
- Staple together the edges of two sturdy paper plates, top to top, but leave a space big enough to fit your hand inside the plates.
- Glue the bottom of a sturdy paper bowl to one of the plates. Let it dry.
- Paint and decorate your mitt. Let it dry.
- Make a ball from aluminum foil.
- To play, slide your hand inside the mitt, with the bowl side on the palm of your hand. If you’re left-handed, put the mitt on your right hand. If you’re right-handed, put the mitt on your left hand. Toss the foil ball in the air, and try to catch it in the bowl.
- Have a friend make a mitt, and play catch together. If you have more than two players, stand in a circle and toss the ball around.
