Play Scenes
by Catherine Stier
A quick and easy craft project to make in class or as a take home assignment which allows students to develope their tactile skills.
What you need:
- pencil
- zip-close sandwich bag
- poster board
- scissors
- glue
- paper
- tape
- markers
How to make it:
- Trace around a zip-close sandwich bag onto poster board. Cut out the square.
- To create a background, cut out paper shapes, such as seaweed for an underwater scene or planets for a space scene. Glue them onto the poster-board square.
- Tape the two side edges of the sandwich bag onto the decorated poster-board square. The bag's opening should be at the top of the scene.
- From poster board, cut out a fish or a spaceship. Decorate it with markers. Place it inside the sandwich bag.
- Zip the bag closed, keeping in some air. Tilt the play scene to make the fish or spaceship move.
