Biography Book Report and Guidelines Ideas
Here's a quick and easy writing exercise for your students.
- Book Report
For each section below, write at least one paragraph. You should answer the questions in complete sentences, and include supporting details that will make your ideas interesting. In addition to the questions below, you should also include other information that you feel is important. - What is the title of your book? Who is the author? Tell who the story is about. What was special about this person? Why did you choose to read about this person?
- Choose some important dates in this person's life. Explain why he or she is important. What was the person's main accomplishments.
- What failures or struggles did this person have before he or she was successful?
- Do you admire this person? What did you like best about this person? What surprising things did you learn about this person? If you could meet this person, what questions would you ask him or her, and why?
- POSTER
- Poster should measure approx. 18" x 24".
- In addition to pictures, the poster should include the individuals name, the student's name and some key information about the person.
- Poster should reflect careful thought.
- Show effort and pride in your work.
- Neatness counts!
- PRESENTATION
- Each student will make a presentation to the class to exhibit their poster and share a few important facts about his or her chosen person.
- Practice, practice, practice your presentation, so that you will feel confident when you present your poster to the class.
- Remember, good speakers speak loudly and clearly, and they look up at their audience. Eye contact is important!
