Just a Great Idea for Student's Birthdays

This is a great idea for any subject and for any teacher to accomplish in the beginning of the school year.
During the first week of school hand out pre stamped post cards to each student and have them on one side write their name and address along with the school's address in the upper left hand corner as the return address. On the other side in a small space have them write their birth date. You can then file these post cards accordingly and at the beginning of each week, pull any post cards with that weeks birthdays (if there are any), put a fun birthday sticker over the birth date they wrote, write a quick birthday message and mail it off. Every student no matter what the age loves to receive mail on their special day. It will mean a lot to them!
